There IS  a band for homeschoolers in Birmingham!!

It’s the Birmingham Homeschool Band.

Throughout its five-year history the Band has grown and developed into a talented group of homeschooled students who play for God’s glory and enjoy God’s wonderful gift of music.

The Birmingham Homeschool Band is open to all homeschoolers in the Birmingham area who are in grades 5 and up. We meet every Monday afternoon through the school year at Shades Mountain Independent Church in Hoover.  There are three levels of Bands: Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced.

The Birmingham Homeschool Band plays as a PEP BAND at local homeschool football and basketball games. We also perform two seasonal concerts each year.
